Porta Romana say :
'It was a chance meeting in a garden that began Porta Romana's collaboration with the wonderful Tord Boontje, the Dutch-born, London-based product designer who combines advanced technologies with artisanal techniques to create exquisite products.
In those first moments, a seed was sown – the idea to collaborate and create something truly beautiful. Using Tord's whimsical style, his ability to see a twist in a stem become a chandelier, the pattern in bark become the leg of a table, combined with the skill and expertise of Porta Romana's artisans, it may have been a chance meeting in a garden that began the Enchanted Forest but no one could have dreamt how stunning the outcome would be. Taking his inspiration from the classic Windsor Chair and wanting to celebrate traditional British craftsmanship, Tord has created the Triwood chairs. These decorative chairs made in sustainable Ash are in two designs, a Herringbone style or Twig variation. The simple finish not only serves to highlight the beauty of the woodgrain but keeps the chairs timeless, stand-out pieces which cannot be dated.
Available as an odd pair, the Triwood duo would make an exceptional addition to parlour or hallway.'
