Sitting Firm is a UK manufacturer of solid hardwood furniture, using hand crafted techniques and finishes. We made our name initially through making Windsor Chairs, and now are well known for our other traditional and contemporary furniture including dining room tables and chairs. Each of these are made in our workshops in Coventry, West Midlands. All of our dining room tables and chairs, as well as our other products are available in oak, elm, ash, maple, cherry and other sustainable hardwoods.

The solid craftsmanship of our Dining room tables and chairs, including farmhouse tables, refectory tables, extending tables and pedestal tables, are made in a range of sizes and wood finishes to suit individual tastes. These are complemented with coffee tables and lamp tables and a range of cabinet furniture which includes desks, bureaus, cupboards and sideboards.

The contemporary ranges are designed and made in modern styles and materials including a combination of light and dark oak, maple and steamed beech. Tables, chairs, sideboards and cabinets made in matching hardwoods and quality finishes complete the range.

Within our Windsor chairs range there are a large number of child’s chairs and rocking chairs for adults and children. We offer a very full and diverse range of chairs to accompany or supplement your Dining room table and chairs for your home. Because all chairs and tables are made to order we can accommodate any size or style requirements and also make bespoke, tailor-made and special commission tables and chairs.
